Every 2021 Tundra is motivated by a powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine. Paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, this tried-and-true engine drives 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque to either the rear wheels or all four wheels via a capable, off-road-ready 4WD system.

2WD Tundra models use an automatic limited-slip rear differential to deliver better traction in snow and sand, while 4WD models use a two-speed transfer case and advanced A-TRAC system to optimize traction across front and rear axles simultaneously.

For even more off-road capability, the Tundra TRD Family adds a variety of torture-tested equipment such as heavy-duty FOX^® shocks, a thick aluminum skid plate, and extra-protected fog lights by Rigid Industries^®.
